πŸ”Ή What You’ll Be Doing
βœ” Keeping things running smoothly – Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively.
βœ” Optimizing performance – Work with Development, QA, and other SRE teams to improve environments, automation, and tooling.
βœ” Incident management & support – Provide 24/7 on-call support on a rotating basis to ensure stability.
βœ” Technical documentation – Study software documentation to fully understand the application landscape and provide efficient support.
βœ” Process improvements – Identify and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues and enhance system reliability.
βœ” Collaboration & communication – Act as the go-to resource for business stakeholders and technical peers, providing updates and solutions proactively.

πŸ”Ή What You Need to Succeed
βœ” 5+ years of experience supporting Java-based applications in a RHEL (Linux) environment.
βœ” Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or another cloud platform (AWS, Azure).
βœ” Experience troubleshooting JVM issues (thread dumps, garbage collection, memory management – Java 17+ preferred).
βœ” Version control expertise (Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory) & familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
βœ” Experience with configuration management & automation tools (Puppet, Foreman, Terraform, Salt, Ansible, etc.).
βœ” Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, Perl, Ruby, JSON, XML, YAML).
βœ” Ability to work in Agile environments and actively participate in planning and project meetings.
βœ” Financial services experience is a plus, but not required.
