Plant Controller

We are seeking a mid-senior level Plant Controller with a strong background in finance and accounting to oversee our operations. This role is critical in providing operational financial reports and analyses regarding plant performance, ensuring adherence to corporate and group financial procedures, and maintaining internal controls. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience and be proficient in SAP and MS Excel.
Day to Day of the role:
- Plan, organize, and control all accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, credit and collection, and local tax activities of the manufacturing plant.
- Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of financial transactions and related analysis of the plant, alerting management to trends and problems.
- Participate in the preparation of budget and business plans, providing financial evaluation and interpretation of alternatives.
- Prepare operating and capital budgets; report and analyze performance against the same.
- Implement and administer corporate credit, collection, and tax preparation policies.
- Manage, review, and summarize periodic financial analysis to operational management.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to improve the plant’s cost competitiveness and agility.
- Lead, manage, and develop direct reports, including the Finance and Purchasing Teams.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting and auditing policies and applicable laws.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent (Required).
- Master’s Degree or MBA (Preferred).
- Yellow Belt or Green Belt Certification for WCM (Preferred).
- Experience as a Plant/Business Controller with progressively increased responsibilities and direct reports (Required).
- Proficient use of SAP in a controlling environment (Required).
- Strong Excel and Presentation skills (Required).
- Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally with various teams.
- Data-driven approach to problem-solving and loss identification at the plant.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
