We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Sales with a robust background in Domestic Freight & Logistics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales within the logistics industry, showcasing exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. This remote role demands a self-driven individual who excels at multitasking and managing resources efficiently to consistently meet and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure a continuous sales pipeline.
- Conduct cold calls to gather information about potential clients’ transport needs and identify key decision-makers.
- Proactively schedule and conduct meetings with potential new customers, both virtually via Teams and in person.
- Lead interviews, set performance metrics, and manage one-on-one reviews and KPIs.
- Oversee CRM management and track sales metrics to inform strategic decisions and improve outcomes.
- Achieve and surpass financial goals by effectively closing sales and expanding the customer base.
- Stay updated on industry trends and the competitive landscape to refine sales strategies and techniques.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience within the logistics industry, with expertise in leadership, brokerage, FTL, and LTL.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to analyze financial data to support decision-making.
