We have a robust client base that started domestically and now spans internationally.

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering design and project management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading design teams, interfacing with clients, and managing projects from inception to completion. A book of business to bring along is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify design criteria and execute effective designs that exceed client expectations.
  • Provide direct client interface and lead plan processing at public agencies.
  • Engage in marketing, business development, and lead pursuit of new work.
  • Manage administrative and financial tasks such as invoicing, budget monitoring, proposals, change orders, and timecard approvals.
  • Develop schedules and supervise the coordination of workflow with the design team.
  • Supervise plan preparation, technical reports, cost estimates, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Supervise or provide direct contact with agencies, oversee plan processing for approval, and resolve design problems.
  • Oversee coordination with all outside consultants and internal departments.
  • Conduct site investigations and research for proposals and designs.
  • Make site visits during construction to ensure plan conformity and resolve construction discrepancies.
  • Conduct staff reviews and provide coaching/training.
  • Track project budgets and provide billing instructions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of civil engineering design experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading a design team and overseeing project workflow.
  • EIT certification required, PE license or ability to obtain within two years.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D preferred.
